Our Single Track Mt. Bike Trails run through the many Park Systems in Decorah and the surrounding area. Some run right along the Upper Iowa River, and some will take you to the top of the bluffs overlooking the town. The terrain consists of everything from hard packed dirt, loose rock, exposed roots, to logs and obstacles. Visitors usually find the off-camber trails exceptionally challenging.
Pallisades Park includes trails like Lower Pallisades, Dead Pet, The Pallisades Trail (very creative), Log Jam and Smabey's.
Ice Cave Park includes trails like Captain's, Roller Coaster, Boa, Wold's, Randy's, New Randy's, and Back Bone.
Van Peenen Park includes trails Rocky Road, Pines East and West, The Prarie, Little Big Horn, Dust Bowl, Gunner, Julia, Horsey, Fred's, and the Switchbacks.
Twin Spings includes the Twin Spring's Trail.
Maps and Map Hand outs can be found at either Bike Shop in town or on any of the 4 DHPT Kiosks located throughout the Parks.
